Orchestra Cities collaboration with Wolfsburg is featured in the first FIWARE4Cities booklet which highlights 36 cities and 41 solutions from 13 countries across the globe. The publication aims to help cities understand the potential of open source technology and open common standards, as well as to help private-sector companies and citizens prepare for the coming wave of change.
In Wolfsburg, Orchestra Cities delivers on multiple scenarios such as providing citizens with a smart advisory system for domestic waste management. Users can plan the most effective route for waste disposal, considering container type, fill level, and user destination. A further smart route planning scenario manages electrical vehicles and their charging stations, with their occupancy and supported vehicles.
